the Fotorealistic Insects series

All these images were taken from high-resolution fotos with a Nikon DSLR, to make the annimals look as realistic as possible.

natural size spider

"Ahrrg, there´s a big spider on your shoulder!"

A 6cm spiny false wolf-spider (Zoropsis Spinimana) with a pretty "Nosferatu mask" pattern on the back, probably a male because of it´s lighter colour and slenderer abdomen. It can deliver a slightly poisonous bite!

scorpion

"My god, watch out, it´s a scorpion on your shirt!"

It is a natural size 7cm Euscorpius italicus.

(And yes, I know, scorpions and spiders aren't insects, thank you, but I decided to leave the name with that inaccuracy. I´ll be coming up with some ants, wasps and butterflies, which are insects.)
